Annoying

My husband is officially on his way to Switzerland and I won't see him for 10 more days.. depressing... :( I miss him already...

Christmas Season

YAY for the holidays! THis is my favorite time of year.. I love giving presents and the spirit of the season. I feel so blessed to share it with my little punks. THey are really just excited for the candy and presents... and grandma visiting soon! ANywho... we decorated the tree after thanksgiving and I thought I would share.

So... it a quarter to 3 am on black friday... My husband needed to go to work which I TOTALLY get, but... it makes it impossible to sleep when he's not here. My kitty is driving me crazy and i am tired to the point i am starting to get a headache but no matter how hard i try I CaN NOt SLEEP!!! On the positive side of things.... i finished reading a book, took a bubble bath, finished our christmas newsletter and the layout for labels to stick on the envelopes for Christmas Cards. that's always good and all... just frustrated now!!! and... the WWOOORRRSSSTTT part is.. this is just the beginning. Glen is on call and so the next couple of days will be this way and then on sunday he is leaving for Switzerland and won't be back till the 10th of december. All i can think is that I hope God gives me patience and somehow helps me remember how much I love my kids... i am going to be tired and therefore crabby having to get them up and at daycare before I go to work in the mornings.. but, at least i have a job so that it makes it feasible for him to go, and will help make my time pass more quickly. I will still miss him though :(

Oh ... and hope you all had a WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING!! Ours was fabulous... maybe i should go eat pumpkin pie :)

Happy Halloween

Halloween is always fun and we were really worried this year because of the major storm we got hit with this week.. but we got lucky because the sun came out and we were able to take the kids out trick or treating and it was still pretty nice outside too! We also went to a party at church and the kids got some candy there too.. overall we had lots of fun.. too bad the punks snuck into their candy this morning and ended up having nothing but sugar for breakfast!! Hope you all had a great Haunting Weekend TOO!

Tomorrow is Kairi's school Halloween party.. I am trying to be active in her school world so... I am going to volunteer there.. We are bringing caramel apples for it.. which since this is the first time I have ever made them was probably a bit adventurous on my part.  She is super excited though... THis is a picture of the kids after they helped do the first 10 or so...

The kids were so excited last night when we carved our pumpkin.. we decided it was time since it was looking not so healthy anymore :)  They WERE excited, until we tried to get them to pull out seeds. They kept saying "it's too scary" and crying.. then they eventually did it.. and Carter thought it was funny. He was brave and excited about doing it when it was Kairi's turn and even pulled the pumpkin to himself... but not when it was his turn. On his turn he looked up at me and said, Mommy... it's yucky. YOU DO IT! ANyways... it was fun and here are some pics.. THey even tried to be scary like Jack :) Happy Haunting!!

New Blog

Welcome to our new family blog.... I know I totally suck at this and have been out of the loop for quite some time. I do apologize about this. What's new in our world? I am trying to get this all setup today and if all goes as planned I will have a few different sections to our family blog. 1-Mommy and Daddy, 2-Kairi, 3-Carter, 4-Family, 5-Pictures of  Family .. and we might do more if it comes to my head!!! 

There has been so much that has happened to us in the past year or two.. as anyone that is close to us knows. We appreciate all of our family and friends that have been there to support us or kick us for making the wrong decisions. :)I will do a quick runthrough on what's going on with all of us, basics at least.


Youngest to oldest??


Carter- He told me green is his favorite so we are typing in green. He is super excited for Halloween this year, he is a storm trooper and even has a laser gun. Carter is super busy being a hyper three year old boy and loves to play. He is FINALLY fully potty trained and is doing great. He does wish he was in school like Kairi, but loves his daycare and all his friends. His favorite thing to do at night is dance crazy and sing grandma's three bears song. He is extremely infatuated with racer cars, spider man, kung fu panda, video games and being silly. He is getting so big and we are very proud of him.

Boo- She is our punky Kitty for those who don't know. She is getting fatter and lazier as time goes on. She is spoiled and loves to snuggle.

Kairi- She is in kindergarten! I know, it's nuts for us that she is so big already!! She loves her class and her teacher. She tells us about her friends and recess every day, she has made lots of friends already. Her school is really close to our house and it is a new school. It is great to see how excited she gets about school and she is sad when it's the weekend or a holiday and she can't go. Kairi loves to color and draw, she is also singing alot lately. She is a beautiful and talented little artist! She is going to be a ladybug for halloween this year and is excited for her school carnival and party.

Cristina- I am working at a place called ACS doing insurance stuff. I am working fulltime but still trying to stay active in stuff with the kids. We recently went to Harvest Farms last weekend, they have a corn maze and some haybales and stuff. The kids seemed to like it and we had fun spending time together. There is not much else to say about myself. I love spending time with my kids and husband and wish we had alot more time together. I am really excited to be helping with Kairi's school party, it should be fun to spend an afternoon dressed up and seeing her with all her friends playing. 

Glen- ... always busy! He is getting ready to go on some trips for work. His worklife has been nuts lately and he's been doing so much. He is getting excited for Halloween but is the only person in the family not dressing up... (we are trying to change that though). As busy as he is he always makes time to run around and play with the kids, sometimes more they would like. :) He is a great help and does alot in helping get stuff done around the house... even when he ends up working till 5 am some days.
